Matt began his career in the international tax departments of Ernst & Young and KPMG, advising foreign-invested companies on Korean tax and foreign exchange rules. Since 2008 he has run his own practice, providing audit, financial reporting, bookkeeping, tax filing and advisory services to domestic and international clients, including in-house advisory work for major banks.

In October 2017 he joined the Vistra Alliance, working alongside Vistra's global corporate services network to serve foreign clients in Korea. He has also been appointed as public tax counsel by the Seoul Regional Tax Office and the Tax Tribunal.
